Trattoria Benedetto officially opened last Tuesday at 452 Springfield Avenue. The family-owned restaurant is the passion project of chef Marco Benedetto and his wife Lisa, who moved to Mountainside from Bologna three years ago.

The menu features classic Northern Italian dishes including house-made tagliatelle, osso buco, and tiramisu. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, 4 PM - 10 PM. Reservations recommended for weekends.

Early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with residents praising the authentic flavors and warm atmosphere.
